Dr. Peyman Ağazade is a civil engineer and project manager for utility-scale solar in Hungary. At SolServices in Budapest he has managed more than 300 MWp of solar EPC projects since 2021, after six years on wind energy in Turkey. His doctorate is in highway engineering, and he writes about the part of a solar park that decides how it ages: the ground, the foundations, the water and the quality of the build.

On foundations

“Corrosive soil is a solvable problem when it is treated as a design input.”
